I just recently picked up a 2005 Murci coupe.

Ordered a set of ADV10 Concaves, 08 taillights, lp640 front, I am trying to locate a LOUD exhaust system for this car.

Can anyone help me locate a good sounding exhaust?

I have done some research and I have heard Larani is pretty loud?

Any other options out there that you guys would recommend?

Thanks and look forward to hearing back from you guys.

Don't be fooled but this is really an LP640 with LP670 SV kit but the exhaust is "Tubi"

This one has a Kreissieg exhaust

Mine had a Tubi and sounded great. I had a friend with the Kreissieg. It was a little much for me.

You can't go wrong with a Tubi exhaust. I would also look into Capristo. My buddy had it on his F430. That thing screamed!

Kreissieg by far takes it... When you order, you can choose your OPEN level to be any 1-5 mode, and by the click of a remote control button, your exhaust is quieter than stock, believe me, that comes in handy!

I would have to say kreissieg as well.

The guy who runs our shop worked @ al burtonis for 20 years. They built all those four pipe murci exhausts. We still do them, if you have interest drop me an email.

i custom make them but i have a loc exhaust with the secondary cat delete. let me know if your interested and i can take care of you on it! you can you tube loc murci exhaust and you will see tons of videos. i like the way it sounds for a production type exhaust. i think its the best if you want a good low tone. the rest are very high pitched and sound weird for an exotic.

I would go with the Loc exhaust, now it is called LNB exhaust because of the new store. If you want it to be loud go with the stage 2 exhaust that we offer. If you have any questions about it call Grant, he is one of the original builders and would be able to answer your questions.

The Kreissieg exhaust sounds weird on certain Murcielagos... Listen to this, after each shift as the revs rise, there is a strange resonance that sounds like crap. It is worst in third gear on this LP640...

My buddy Jason has some great clips on his site at Exhaust Sound Clip | Hear Car Exhaust Systems | Car Videos | Exhaust Clips (http://www.Exhaustage.com). You can compare a bunch of brands there.

In general, and mostly my opinion, Larini sounds "pure" (that's what I run, so I'm biased of course...my videos are posted on Jason's site above). Capristo is a little high on the price side and a little raspy sounding for a V12. Kreissig is ridiculously prices and raspy. IMHO avoid exhausts with "valves" and such....it's just more to break. Tubi sounds good..up there with Larini but a little loud for my taste. If you want overtly loud and less emphasis on a tuned note go with Tubi. LOC is also a good compromise between "loud" and "tuned" sound. Avoid Burtoni at all costs.

Not all test pipes lead to CEL's. For example I personally know two buddies who are running Larini test pipes on their Murci's with no reflash and do not get a CEL. Just check your local emissions laws and/or make sure you can get your car sniffed at an "understanding" station because those test pipes don't go on and off easily.

Let us know what you decide to go with, get videos of it, and post them on Jason's site so we can keep the database growing.

Cheers

Awesome! Congrats! :HappyDance: I think you'll love it (of course I'm biased, but I love my Larini system a lot!).

Did you get secondary decat pipes as well? Those secondary cats are useless and eliminating them helps a great deal with both flow and sound.

Can't wait to hear your clips! :jump:

Jet do you have any sound clips you can post up?

Hey G, sorry I don't. I really like the sound level though. It can be quite comfortable when you want it to during a cruise, or can open up nicely when you step on it. I would probably like it a little louder but I often am coming home late at night and don't want to be too annoying to my family sleeping as well as neighbors.

When does it arrive? If you happen to be in Dallas before you get it, call me up

Our N/A system is so loud we got the cops called to the shop from driving it around in the parking lot....well, maybe it was the 140mph in 40mph flybys at 2am. :P We didnt do a dyno test with it, but I can tell you it felt alot different in top-end. I'll see if I can find some pics....we had ALOT going on in the back with all the piping....showboating as usual. ;)
