Since we are coming up on the breaking formulas for making insane POWER, why dont we have the REAL KING OF THE STREETS!!

Hennessey Venom GT 1200hp Spyder vs UR "R" Version 1500+ WHP TT Gallardo (one of many)

This race would determine the KING OF BOOST. just simple and plain. The 2 biggest hp (street legal) producing cars in world!!

I have a lot of respect for both UGR and Hennessey. I will say, though, UGR Lamborghinis have the advantage of AWD... and that counts a lot when you're putting down over 1000hp to the wheels.

TC is TC, regardless of the car. Of course some have various settings but an AWD car will accelerate faster off the line if its competitor has a rediculous amount of power to the rear wheels

Not if you get a car with ridiculously wide tires that you see on some hot rods. The ones that almost touch in the middle of the car.

^ yes AWD is faster off the line than some HUGE HEAVY rear tires

But you also have to remember that all of the power goes to those tires instead of getting split between the front and the back.

WTF are you drunk? how would half as much surface area give you more grip. AWD front pulls while the rear pushes.....RWD once the rear spins thats it....

Ugr wins. No chance for the other lotus inspired hennessey car. Power, chassis, experience. Not even in the same league

Can't say that I am surprised. The 111 (Lotus) chassis is not designed for that much power, even with Hennessey's modifications.

why even bother?

RWD 1200hp

vs

AWD 1700-1800hp

waste of time and effort.

I think he is talking drivetrain losses. AWD loses about 10% more HP then RWD due to driveline loss, and more drag at speed.

Eg, 1000hp RWD car may put 900hp to road, but a 1000hp AWD car only puts 800hp to the road..

Sir Robbins

it wouldn't win..... I have seen Hennesey's past cars and they are all about power and that is it. His GT 1000 lost to a stock superlegerra in a drag and corner challenge due to traction loss. His 1200 hp viper lost due to traction loss and spun even with huge tires on them. Venom GT would lose...... You don't need to race them to prove it

With a proper driver I'm sure the result would be different. Put one of those chumps in a 1500hp UR G and you'd have the same result. Supercar guys always turn up at autocross event thinking more throttle wins races. Big power cars need proper drivers, unfortunately fat wallets are the only requirement to own one

Wow, sorry I have missed all of the fun in this thread going back to a year ago!

FYI, I know Kevin and have a good relationship with him and UGR. We have been discussing doing a Venom GT vs TT Aventador race at some point. I suppose that both of us are busy taking care of business and customers while doing some occasional car events here and there. That's why no race thus far.

As of right now there are 8 Venom GTs in existence with a few more being built. Most owners are not interested in racing their cars unlike many TT Lambo guys who will race anytime anywhere. We do have one client who will let us run his car, but this would only be under the safest conditions on something like a runway. Thus, we will do our best to coordinate something with Kevin at some point when it works best for both of our companies.

I am not interested in running any individual TT Lambo owners. If I lose then I lose. If I win then some will say that it really doesnt count since I didnt race Kevin's best car. So I will let Kevin pick his best car and run that when the time comes. In the meantime I need to find some more power because he has us covered by about 20 mph in 1/4 mile trap speed. Hopefully he will agree to run at least a mile if not longer as I will need all the distance I can get to try to catch him!

And by the way, I am sure that the YouTube video views for this will be huge. So you can be sure that Kevin and I will agree to do this under our own terms and in the safest way possible. I think it would be a cool race and hopefully it becomes a reality at some point. Thanks.

John

FYI LMR's Vette outran all at TI last year...even at the last TI event no one ran above the 194mph mark that LMR ran in the 'Tejano Blue' vette last year. Not taking sides here, just stating that neither company mentioned above would be the 'King of the Street'.

If we are talking 1/4 mile there are several builders that are faster as well...

Not interested in any titles. And as we all know, "there is always somebody faster". If and when this goes down, it will just be for fun.

Agreed, I would love to see this happen, but I think UGR would take it hands down. I wasn't trying to be 'that guy' with my comment, but I just thought the OP was stating that these are the fastest two builders on the market right now.

Either way this race would be EPIC!
