    Default Jacuzzi above a grotto, above a pool?

    I just had this crazy idea. Most grottos connected to a pool you see just has a rock or something over the grotto.

    What if...

    ...you had a jacuzzi over the grotto with overflow that makes a waterfall into the pool/grotto below?

    Take this example;
    Imagine that the stairs go to a jacuzzi, instead of a pile of rocks.

    Obviously the jacuzzi would be higher than the pool and the grotto wouldn't be that spacey.
    But wouldn't this be pretty cool?

    Those have been done, but you wouldnt want the hottub water to be mixed with the pool water. That would really screw up the chemical balance, and be a huge energy expense

    That's not entirely true, you can keep pool water and spa water the same chemical balance without a problem. Many different systems out there to sanitize both

    Or if the pool was heated, that would be nice!

    It is feasible with enough money but will need a hell of a structure to support all the weight of the material, plus water, plus max number of people. But if you are going to have a grotto below, could always go for a glass floor on the bottom of the jacuzzi so the people in the grotto can enjoy the view.

    Whatever you do, keep yourself and people around you happy.
    Even if you can't help them, don't harm them. I think that is pretty much life. Keep going, don't stand.

    Vinnie Paul (Pantera) has this set up at his house. My ex gf sent me some pics from party there over the summer, it looks like a cool set up.

    My hot tub in Palm Beach has a waterfall directly into the pool. You have the option of turning the flow on and off, but the water all flows together...

    It is a salt water pool too. I don't know anything about chemical balance or pH but I am certain it is the same body of water throughout.
