unless you were a part of the middle to california's late 90's punk scene like i was, you WON"t ever, "get it!"

i was very fortunate to be in one of the raddest 3-piece underground punk bands known to the scene!

From CA to Austin to Japan . . .
i was touring by the time i was 17, there was no internet and there were no cell phones...
We sold tapes out of the back of a P.O.Sh!t brown van, if you had your music on CD it was a BIG DEAL!

my band toured/opened for bands like Green Day/Rancid/At The drive In and Blink 182.
I liked to think that my band was a little more hard edge but either way we all loved the Band Operation Ivy,

It was a lifestyle, on the road 150+ days a year for 3 years and i still wasn't able to buy beer legally . .

I lost a lot of friends along the way to drugs and other accidents.

These shoes are an homage to the days i spent playing music, trying so hard to be creative/expressive while traveling all over the world . . .

The fact that mark (royal fam) and i share the same passion for that style/lifestyle/attitude is awesome, it's great to still represent!

BTW that lifestyle was all about respect/integrity!
i guess you could say it never wore off. . . even in my current ventures

    Well put, my man.
    I like 'em, myself.

Oh...BTW, I was at the last show of the original Sex Pistols at Winterland back in 1978. Sad part is, my negatives from that show (along with thousands of others) were stolen from my "secure" storage space.
