Default Flight to Toronto, Canada Tonight, Friday Suggestions?

There are a few people I'm planning to visit while in the Toronto area Friday this week. If any L4P family members have any suggestions on sights/sounds that are definitely worth checking out, I can definitely drive out a few miles .

Anyone know of a few places? TIA

I live just outside Toronto and it's been a few years since I've gone to any clubs/ bars/ lounges downtown. If you're into brew pubs, I can recommend a couple that I've been to a few times that have excellent beers. One is C'est What on Front Street. Awesome coffee porter as well as several others. The other is the Amsterdam Brewpub. Excellent stuff as well. That one is on King Street. The Mill Street brewery is supposed to be excellent as well. They're in the Distillery District (which is supposed to be really nice). As far as attractions are concerned, you have to go up the CN tower. Weather is supposed to be nice and clear over the next few days so it should be nice. If you like galleries/museums, there is the Art Gallery of Ontario which was recently renovated (designed by Frank Ghery) and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) recently renovated as well by some other architect (Daniel Libenskind or something like that). Not a big fan of Chinatown, but thats just me. The Queen Street West shopping area doesn't seem to be what it used to be. Bay and Bloor has all the high end shops. I think thats all for now. Hopefully you like beer. If so, you'll be happy at C'est What and Amsterdam (C'est What ranked #1 with me). Have fun, the weather is supposed to be awesome.

You can also check out the EX which only going on for about 2 - 3 weeks. I believe there's an Air Show there this weekend. It's also very close to the Lake.

If you've never tried Korean BBQ or Host Indian Food I would suggest giving them a try.

Skip Toronto and go straight to Montreal if you're looking for a good time.

Was actually on King and Queen street tonight just touring the town. You guys are festive, lol. And I did see some practice runs of the fighter squad over Rogers! I visited Lamborghini Toronto and will post a few pictures as soon as I can. I'm having fun so far... thanks for the local tips.

If you are looking for some ethnic foods, post it up and Im sure someone can help you. We have authentic Korean, Chinese, Indian, Thai...
If you are still down on Queen and looking for a simple italian restaurant, find Terronis. Down to earth authentic (as you can get in Toronto) food. Prices are reasonable.

If you want to go shopping head over to Yorkville at Bay/Bloor. Yorkville is basically Toronto's nicer area with higher end shops and restaurants. Holt Renfrew is our Saks. We also have Harry Rosen which is a men's only store.

Queen street is more of the artsy area. Low budget and fashion forward. Youll find a lot of urban hipsters and vintage shops.
