Asia Recommendations
So I am leaving for China on Wednesday. I'll be there for about 4-5 weeks, and then again in September for the rest of the year I'll be hanging with friends part of the time, but for some it, I have no itinerary. Does anyone have recommendations for countries or cities to travel to while I am over there? Right now, I am planning on Singapore, Thailand, HK, and China.
What are some of the cool places I am missing?

I really liked Vietnam and Burma but I LOVED Japan. I dunno if you can get into Burma these days though.

I'm originally from Taiwan, I would definitely recommend. It's only about an hour away from Hong Kong by flight. Good food if you aren't afraid of street vendors and such. A few sigh seeing locations. MUST go to Japan if you're going to Asia, a lot of culture there.

I'm actually headed to Korea. If you come to Korea, both me and SuperMaruchi will be out there. If you're in Shanghai, you're somewhat close to Hong Kong. Definitely recommend checking HK out, it looks pretty amazing at night and the people are definitely friendly, plus a majority of them speak English. But then again, I have yet to visit Shanghai, and from I've heard, the city is really friggin dope.
Be sure to hit up the foot massage places after a long day. I think it was something like $15 for an hour long massage. Sorry, I don't have the names of the clubs I visited, but if you do end up going to HK, I'll email my friend.
Have a blast! China is a pretty cool spot.

In Thailand, Bangkok might be ok for a couple days if you like the city life. Even if you don't stay at this hotel, you should at least have a drink at one of the bars/restaurants at lebua (also known as the State Tower). However, if you want beach resort I suggest Phangan Island in particular the Rasanada resort Rasananda Resort & Spa, Phangan Island, Koh Phangan, Thailand You can use VIP code: VIP2008 for online reservations to get 20% off. Phuket is also a good bet for beach resort.
In Cambodia, I stayed in Seam Reap to visit Angkor Wat. This article has a cool itinerary for like a weekend get-away. Editorials | Articles:: 48 hours in Siem Reap - Cambodian Information Center (Note: you should make sure you get all of the right shots to go here.) Mr. Bun is a great tour guide, he used to teach English and has great stories and historical facts. Cell: (+855)12 724 370 horngbunleat@yahoo.com
In Vietnam, there are many beautiful cities to go to. In particular I enjoyed three towns. Da Nang, Hanoi, and Nha Trang. I surprisingly found less people that spoke English here, but everyone was extremely helpful. Ho Chi Min City (Saigon) has some good restaurants, but not much to see. Also, Vietnam requires you to get a Visa before hand.
LMK if you make it to any of these towns, I can suggest restaurants and hotels if you'd like.

I did Hong Kong and Phi Phi Island/ Phuket Thailand this past summer and recommend Phi Phi the most, beautiful island that is worth a night or two on while traveling through there. Two islands close by are well worth it if you snorkel or better yet dive!

I think we are here to achieve something. It's one life.
Whatever you do, keep yourself and people around you happy.
Even if you can't help them, don't harm them. I think that is pretty much life. Keep going, don't stand.
You got nothing to lose. Keep going, it's life.
