I need help picking a gift
An important client's birthday is coming up and I'm considering giving wine as a gift. That said I know nothing of wine. With a budget of $200.00 what would you guys recommend? I'm open to purchasing one really nice bottle or a two or three decent ones. I'd also most likely need to be able to find this online. Red.
Thanks for the help!I like S/C V8s:

I'd suggest a bottle of champagne instead. for 200$ there are plenty of choices: dom perignon, krug, louis roederer etc ... but if you insist on getting wine then i'd go with a cabernet from california: dominus, shafer, spottswoode, altus, etc ...

Here's one for you, I have this in my cellar, opned a bottle last weekend, and this stuff is drinking really well right now. You'll want to decant it for an hour. Big, huge in your face type of cab, you can't go wrong.
Good luck

Couple of nice bottles of Rhone or Bordeaux. Maybe a California Zin.
Look for something that scores well, (take a stroll over to Wine Spectator) in the 90's that you can drink now, and or rest should he/she (the gift receiver) choose. Both will lay down well for a good amount of time.
If you're looking for specifics, I can offer a few different options, but need to know if you're wanting to go one single bottle, or two or three. It would also be helpful to know if your client is a wine drinker now, or if a fine / collectible wine would be way over his head. No sense in chasing bad money with good.
