New guy to the wine drinking
So I'm probably fixing to get told to just go buy as much as I can of different types of wines lol. So I have just started to drink wine the last few weeks and I really know nothing about it. I like to have a glass during a meal and a glass to just chill out and watch a movie or TV. I honestly don't know what to look for or which wine goes with what lol. Me and my friend have just been buying all different kinds of wine and taste testing but neither of us know what to look for. I'm not looking to spend a ton on a bottle since it's not my thing but I'm not looking to drink MD 20/20 lol. So currently I'm drinking GRAFFIGNA CENTENARIO Pinot Grigio 2008, it's a white wine and I know it's cheap but i bought a 50 dollar bottle last week and it was nasty. So i guess what i'm really asking is to get pointed in the right direction to persue this. Is there a good web site for beginers lol? Is there a different way to drink different types of wines? Where should I go to do the research for this?

Plenty of books and websites out there that will educate you, Even a few movies via Netflix that will help you like "Sideways" or "Bottle Shock"
It is vital that we work to a few golden rules. Always work in a small team. Keep a very low profile. Only deal with people who come recommended. And it's like selling anything else: washing machines, hand made shoes, blowjobs. As long as you don't take the piss people will always come back for more. And that is not to say we don't have that special kind of magic that makes two kilos into three. But never be too greedy.

I am certainly not one who thinks you have to spend lots of $ to enjoy a nice wine, although some are worth it. You may want to go on a day when they have wine tastings to see what you like. Someone can always tell you what they like, but it doesn't mean you will. I don't like to buy without being able to sample. You may run across some you really like.

Learning About Wine - "Swallow This"
I suggest getting the book "Swallow This" by Mark Phillips. He is irreverant, funny and knows wine. Great way to learn. Follow this link to his website... Home
