    Lacrima di Morro d'Alba FTW!

Background on this bottle from the producer...

The Lacrima di Morro d'Alba wine is a velvety and fruity red wine with its berry like perfume, ripe plum flavour. The colour of Lacrima wine is exotic purple to dark crimson wine from the family of the Lacrima grape.

It is one of the few world wide Middle Age originated vines, and the story depicts that the conqueror Federico Barbarossa had the chance to enjoy its voluptuous body in the year 1157, when he laid siege at the city of Ancona, and Morro d'Alba was his headquarters.

The only area in Italy which produces this lovely D.O.C. red wine is found in the Central Eastern part of Italy, in the Marche region and covers an area of only 60 ha. and the increment of the surface is limited and strictly regulated and controlled.

This Lacrima di Morro d'Alba "Perbacco" is made from a 100% Lacrima grapes, grown and hand-picked by the producer.

All I do is Italians and French (when I am in the mood to spend)

Recently drank the last of my 04 Tignanello and bought 12 05's ...Also some 2001 Chateau Pavie and a few other French goodies.
