Besides what's already been mentioned, I'll add the following:

Screaming Eagle - extremely expensive. I've had the '97, and it was scrumptious, but the pricetag is staggering.

Harlan - I've always liked their output, even The Maiden. I finally cracked their Estate mailing list this year......

    Araujo

    Colgin

Scarecrow - very good. I missed out on getting on their mailing list.....
When I'm not here, I'm slinging IT infrastructure or gone golfing

    2007 E550 - the DD
2006 Touareg V10 TDI - the baby mobile

Anything made by Robert Foley such as Pride or his own Foley Claret.

Bill Harlan has in my opinion the best cabernet in the valley. Sloan and Dalle Valle are close second and third.

    What is your price range?

Less than $20 try Louis Martini or JAM.

Less than $40 try Mount Veeder or Columbia Crest 2005 Reserve.

Less than $60 try Chappellet, Joseph Phelps, Papillon, Silver Oak or many others.

Less than $100 try Caymus SS.

You are going to get a wide variety of answers and many guys are going to indicate wines that are hard to get (Columbia Crest and Chappellet above are tough).

At the end of the day, two gold standards for cabernet are Joseph Phelps and Caymus. You can never go wrong with either.

Got few Cabs but haven't tried them yet: Caymus, Opus I, Shafer and few more Domiunes (loved that one).
