A few of us had dinner today in Danville. Place called Forbes Mill Steakhouse. Great place and fair price.

Anyways, I tried the following and I must say it was good! Took some advise from this thread and tried the Russian River Valley. YUM!

Todd, great list. Those WS Pinots we know well - no argument there. Agree w/ your comment on the Clos du Val Pinot, had the '04 short while back - outstanding.

Speaking of Melville... poured a bottle of 05 Pinot for the boys (MTK, RAW, IPO, Kevin, etc) at this gathering (see first pic on the link) - it was a hit with everyone.

I promised them some Brewer-Clifton "Ashley's Vineyard" on our next gathering.
what year is the B-C? Those suckers need at LEAST 4 years from bottle date before drinking...

We have a case of '05... only opened 1 bottle so far and it drank nice after decanting for about 1 hr, but it can def sit for a while.

We didn't know much about B-C until we visited Palmina and Melville a few years ago. A worthwhile trip, and very accessable from both NorCal and SoCal. Palmina is a personal fav of ours... They are making some great wines w/ Italian varietals.

We were part of the Palmina wine club for about a year, and other than the Pinot Grigio and Malvasia Bianca, we weren't overly impressed with the club shipments. The wines are unique, and well made, but they just don't work as well as the true Italian wines when you throw food in the mix.
