Default Luigi Giusti Lacrima di Morro d’Alba - 2005

Luigi Giusti Lacrima di Morro d’Alba - 2005

The Lacrima grape is of ancient origin and is still cultivated only in the commune Morro d’Alba in the Marches on the East coast of Italy.

Rich, dark black/blue fruit w/ a striking lavender and rose petal nose, deep purple color, and a long finish.

MissiG pulled this out of the cellar last night... MTK, Raw, and IPO, this is similar to the Lacrima we had w/ you guys a short while back (think "lavender")...

That was not only outstanding but what I enjoyed the most was how different it was from the wines that I consider great. It was such a fresh twist an the lavender was just...... mama mia excellente.

i have to admit - the "rich dark black fruit" turns me off; but the "lavendar" sounds very very interesting. i think i'll try to find a bottle and give it a shot.

    what's the alcohol content?

Yup - one of those things that is hard t describe but must be tried (I am prob botching the description). Obviously "old world" in style, full bodied. Very unique.

    13% alcohol per the bottle.
