    Default Ridge 2006 California Geyserville

    Love those zins

    Easy plum color

Smells of black cherry spice with vanilla

On the palette, mild depth with lots of berries, easy oak and smooth, lasting finish

I've been with Ridge since 1981 and this weekend I am going to the Monte Bello Futures tasting should be a lot of fun. If you ever get a chance to be here on the weekend you need to go up to the vineyard in Cupertino or you favorite in Dry Creek where the do all the Zinfandel.

So what did you think? How would you compare it to a 2006 Rosenblum?

Love this stuff fresh, but as I've already told you, I also like to cellar the Geyserville, just gets better with some time.

The berries are not as deep and it is not as thick.

Still very, very delicious. Need to cellar to pack some cases away.
