    Default Rosenblum

Had a bottle of Annette's Reserve tonight. So enjoyed it. Very deep for a Zinfandel with mounds of black berries and lots of oak. Rosenblum is the king of Zin's.

Hey Chris they're about 15 minuets from my house - love their Zins - have you tried their late harvests?

Sure haven't Ben. Have you tried them?

Buzzedhornet, you know I am game. Rosenblum is always at the top of my list.

If Roesenblum is the king of Zins it needs to share top honors with Ridge! However, I love the Annettes and almost everything ROsenblum does in the Zin world. For many vintages (haven't had the most recent) I find the Richard Sauret to be very similar, not quite as big and a little more chocolate / mint instead of the tobacco / smoke, but it's 10 bucks a bottle or so cheaper so you may want to give it a go. I'll also note that both these wines can easily take a couple of years in the cellar, they just keep getting better.

The one Rosenblum Late Harvest I tried was a desert wine. Completely different beast. Personally, I'm not as big of fan of Late Harvest Zins as I am of other varietals.

I have enjoyed many a Ridge, but Rosenblum takes Hamilton Honors.

Have some Richard Sauret at home. I haven't drank a bottle in a few months, so I will post up soon.

Now I need to build a cellar

If you're not cellaring that makes sense. Set a couple of Ridge Geyserville away for a couple to 10 (!) years and your opinion might change a little. Then again, some of the Rosenblum cellar really well so it's a bit of a toss up for me. Personally, I often think Ridge has more depth and structure, but Rosenblum just puts such really tasty stuff together I can't consistently say one outranks the other...
