Default Turnbull - 2004 Napa Red

Strong pepper rush. Black berries, chocolates, so very complex. Best I have ever had. God I can't wait to say that again.

We had that a few weeks ago. You are right on the money, it was a great wine!

Tried the 2005 Black Label meritage for the first time a few months back at the Wine Spectator event in Vegas. I've always liked the regular Cab from Turnbull, and was quite impressed with the quality of the Black Label. Was told by the Turnbull folk working the booth that they take the cream of the crop and divert that for Black Label production. Per the site link that forhamilton posted, you can see that the mix differs from year to year (2004 has noticeably less Cab than 2005).

Was lucky enough to pick up some bottles at the Costco in Novato a couple months ago for $75.
When I'm not here, I'm slinging IT infrastructure or gone golfing
