Default Kosta Browne - Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 2004 vintage

2004 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

My (now) wife took me to Flowers and Kosta Browne wineries for my 33rd birthday... at the time, Kosta Browne wasn't yet on everyone's radar screen, and was a pleasant and personal visit w/ Dan Kosta (and his dog) in the cellar. Soon after our visit, Dan and Melissa (my wife) arranged an industry swap, and we ended up w/ a case of the 2004 RRV Pinot gratis! Not long after this, Wine Spectator gave this exact wine a 96 point rating.

Sooo... in celebration of Saturday night, I present to you tonight's selection, one of the most celebrated California Pinot's...

I've got a half case of the '06 appellation pinots in the cellar, but none of the great '04 or '05...we'll see how the '06 pans out later.
