Cross Country Road Trip To California In My New Car
About 5 months ago I was offered a new job and have since moved across the country to the lovely silicon valley. They packed all my stuff and shipped it out. I could have flown but I didn't want to put my dog on the bottom of a plane and I have always wanted to do a big road trip so I opted to drive myself. I went and traded in my old 2007 BMW 335XI Sedan and bought a brand new fully loaded 2011 BMW 335 M Sport Coupe and hit the road to visit friends and family along the way! A few thousand miles and one speeding ticket later, I've since made it across the country and had a great trip!
I started from SC, spent a night in alabama, 2 nights in dallas, 4 nights in CO, 1 night at the grand canyon, 2 nights in burbank, ca and then I arrived to nocal.
Here are a couple pics from the trip:
My old 2007 335XI Sedan that I traded in:

The mayflower has landed! Moving day:

All packed and ready to go in my new 2011 335i M-Sport Coupe

Backseat in dog mode:

Breakfast:

Mmmm... tasty bugs

Nothing in Kansas but farm lands and energy wind mills:

One of my favorite places to visit, my uncles beautiful mountain home in CO.

The black german car club, my car with my uncles sunday driver. Not pictured is his black glk in the garage.

Grand Canyon:

So far I am loving the new job and things are going great! About a month and a half ago I purchased a condo and absolutely love the area! I look forward to attending some Norcal meets soon.
Also, just an fyi... my custom wide body toyota celica gt-s was just shipped off to my buddies shop in FL as it will be converted to RWD amongst other things as well.

And a recent photo from hanging out with one of my new friends here in CA:

Sounds like an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing.
Never put up with something high maintenance, unless it's high performance.

Sweet dude. I made the hike as well early last year from Chicago.
