Thread: BIG Weekend for the M Coupe!! Valve Adj and FULL DETAIL Inside [LOTS OF PICS]!!!

I recently got my car back from C&C Collision, after a little incident, and put on a new bumper etc.



The car is about to roll over 70,000 miles, and was in need of a valve adjustment. The previous owner was very tedious about maintenance and had the valves adjusted at 35,000 miles. I found Kevin, member kaiv on M3Forum, and he was able to come to my house and perform the service, not only for a VERY good rate, but with great knowledge and convenience. He arrived at my house early Saturday morning, driving all the way from San Diego after working on another customer's car, and was finished by lunch. He explained to me the whole process as we worked, and was very tedious in his workflow. I highly recommend his services to anyone that needs any work done in the Socal area!!!





9 valves were adjusted.

After the valve adjustment and some Fatburger, I began work on a full correction detail. I used to do mobile detailing, but had to stop when my schedule changed. Here are a couple of my previous jobs.

This is something that I have wanted to do since I purchased the car in April. My friend arrived, with the intent of washing and waxing his car before he installed coilovers the next day (pics coming soon, he's TUCKED).

We started washing with CG Wash and Gloss, which is a new favorite weapon in my arsenal! After the cars were thoroughly cleaned, they were both clayed. The A3 was then sealed with Black Ice and waxed with Meguire's Gold Class.

My car was then taped off… Let's see the damage, I didn't get enough pictures of this





The car was then compounded with Menzerna SIP via PC7424 and LC Yellow Pads. Two passes over troubled areas.





Afterwards it was polished with Menzerna 106ff. Here is the car after correction, don’t mind the lazy wiping of polish, I was pretty tired at this point







Here is the car the next day after wax! It's a mirror
