USC or LBSU anyone students or grads?
So I got this crazy idea of relocating to California, just to change things up and was curious if any of you guys are current students or graduates of either USC of LBSU?
Did you like it? Good/bad?
I'm a Computer Science major BTW.
My family has a condo in Long Beach, but I will probably get my own place.
Also job's, how's the job market? I skimmed through Linkedin quick but didn't see much of anything I've done.
Any suggestions/ help/ comments would help

SC has one of the strongest Alumni Networks in Nation and well know for its accounting, business, MIS, cinema, engineering, etc schools
Comparing LBSU (a commuter school) with SC, [and with all due respect to LBSU alum] is like comparing a Hyndai with any exotic.
I assume you have the academic credentials to get in.

If you can get in both, it's a no brainer. No offense intended to LBSU, but USC will open many, many more doors for you. Plus you get PAC-10 football and basketball =)

I just got accepted to CSULB last week.
USC is way over-rated. Since USC is private daddys girls get in due to huge donations and have trouble spelling their own name.
"Hyndai with any exotic." Wow, personally i couldn't disagree more.
I know LB has the 3rd best business program in the state.
Majority of Long Beach students come to the OC area so it is a really good enviorment.
USC is 3 minutes away from one of the most dangerous places immaginable!A world where medical advances allow us to live forever is a terrifying thought...

If you think LBSU is on par with SC, well, good luck to you -- with due respect to you my friend, LBSU is not on the same planet as SC; the Trojan network in California is the strongest around -- don't see that with the LBC
I suggest you look at the rankings and more importantly, how SC alum hire their own (as I do)-- I can only speak from personal experience and that of my fellow Trojan colleagues.
And with due respect to you, LB does not have the 3rd best business program in the state -- you are talking about a state with SC, Cal, Stanford, and Fuckla. Oh and the rankings bear this out http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsa...gs/index.html#
Oh, and by the way, I am one of the guys who DONATES heavily to my school and if you think my donations, alone, result in hire academic rankings, well, let's just say it would be an unfounded thought.
Oh, SC is ranked No. 26th nationally; http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandre...s-ca/usc-1328;
Plus, which really matters, SC is the No. 1 Football School in the nation.
LBSU is not ranked http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandre...te/index.html#

I may be mistaken, but I'm currently looking at grad schools to "work up" to. And SC barely made the top 20 for Business.. But I'm sure it's Alumni (especially in California) is outstanding. Accounting, I'm not too sure of.
What I've found out whilst researching schools, is that the career services and alumni services is JUST as important (in some cases more) than the actual classes. IE, there's Vanderbilt in TN for Finance that supposedly has some of the best classes to take in the country for Finance, but their Alum network is weak (obviously because it's in TN) so it ranks low(er). Just my experiences thus far, YMMV
