Default corona living...who lives out in the area?

So I keep kicking around the idea of moving out to the chino hills/corona area as you can get twice as much house for the same price as an OC condo!

who lives in the area, and how do you like it? any insight you can give me? I currently live in huntington beach, but I am pretty sure I am ready for a change!

how is the life out there, the commute, the better areas, the worse areas, etc...

thanks

Eric

Have you thought of Upland, Rancho area, Eric? Amazing deals and houses in those areas, and a lot of new developments. I know when I was looking to buy 3-6months ago, that is where I was focusing my efforts.

Eric-
You can buy a GREAT house in Corona, I think a buddy of mine just got a super deal on 4bdroom size 2000+ Sq ft for VERY Cheap. I don't live there but work in Riverside and have gotten to know the area just a bit. I am biased and would tell you to move to Upland/San Dimas/ La Verne/ Alta Loma area cause I lived in Claremont and Upland.

Without going into to much detail, I don't like the fact that Corona is so close to Riverside & Norco( various thoughts on general image here) and yes the 91 is a PAIN. A major decision for me is how you can get in and out of your area.

You basically have the 91 and 15. If something is wrong you're stuck, not that it happens alot...but getting into LA/OC area on the 91 from Corona is bad even on weekends.

But I chose the Claremont/Upland area because I have three ways in and out of here. The 210, 10, & 60 then 57 or 605 for North and south if I need to go to anywhere its not very far and I have many routes. Everything is fairly close as well ( HB, LA, OC and so on ). I love to just hop in the car and get where I need to go without worrying much about traffic.

Again I have nothing against Corona and houses are a STEAL...if you need a good realtor for the area PM me I'll hook you up..

I live in corona, its not bad, only thing that sucks is all my friends are either in OC or SouthBay so i always have to drive and they never want to come down over here

best part is the homes are affordable, you get a lot of BANG for your BUCK, its not as "crowded" as LA and OC

and in my area you dont have to worry about being too close to Riverside or Norco cause i am on the southside Dos Lagos area - the "good" area

in my neighborhood called the retreat, homes used to go for about $700K - $2M

nowadays you can get in this neighborhood for about $500K +

honestly if you have the $$$ or the awesome credit, now is the time to buy

my entire family is in real estate so if you need any help, feel free to holler

take care

PS: i guess you can see my neighborhood when you come over to do the Mas in a week or so

thanks for the input fellas!

My main concern holding me back right now is the fact I am pretty secure and setup in my other job besides detailing, and that is in HB at night! Also, I am a beach guy at heart, even though I live two blocks away from it right now, I still dont make it there as much as I would like to, so I dont know if I would miss it completely!

I think future-wise, it would be a smart move to head out there...oh the dilemma...LOL
