    Get a GPS that gives an eagle eye over the streets with street names! Beats the regular paper map. Routes are given by a turn-by-turn basis. No address.
    Have him/her obviously be a good communicator with you and also keep an eye out for the cops. Sometimes they follow participants to the checkpoints and just wait for you there.

    More difficult than it sounds.
