Question Would you trade THIS (Panerai) for THAT (Anonimo)?

I have to the opportunity to do a straight trade... my PAM 164 for an Anonimo Marlin Bronze. Anonimo is slightly more expensive if you look at MSRP ($7000 vs. $7900)... but the resell value of Anonimos are usually crap. Not sure what to do...

Would you do the trade? Why yes or why not? Thanks!

Both you guys bneed to stop smokin whatever it is your smokin. I sorta can't believe you are even entertaining this. I've handled and sold a few anonimo's and even 2 very very recently. Don't be fooled by BS msrp's. I don't even wanna tell you the real value of that watch.

Edit: There should be a box that says: Mother F@#$% Hell No!. And disclaimer for Mikey that says Homages cause serious brain damage.

I am typically a fan of Anonimos, but like Sal said, don't use MSRPs as a comparison.

I wouldn't do this trade unless the other guy forked over some cash as well.

I have never handled one... Could you please elaborate?

Apples and Oranges. Several different reasons but primarily the Anonimo is not on the same quality level that the Panerai is, second, the
Anonimo is 10x's harder to sell. It's no where near as desirable. i1800 i like them but they have their place in the watch world and a price I beleive they fall in and 7k is not it.

Thanks for the heads up. I have always liked Anonimo but could never justify their price... Good to know they are inferior to Panerais.

Hey they are cool and all. I would just enjoy them at between $1700-$3000. Remember the one SoCal sold in the FS section for $1850? That was a really cool piece at a good price. Did you see that new one I posted, it only sold for only $2900. That's where I see that brand and that is where imo they are worthwhile pieces. Just would hate to see you take a Mike Tyson styled beating when you tried to unload that. Sell the Panerai and get a reasonably priced Anonimo and have a few G left over.

Not only no, but hell no, and that's based purely on aesthetics. Anonimo tends to be so bulbous, chunky, and busy. Keep the PAM and buy an Olivier for $800, if you have the bronze itch. The only Anonimo I like:
