Call me CRAZY but .... ( Lum-Tec )
I must admit something to you guys ...
I've been holding it in for a couple of weeks now and it's time to speak it out.
I bought an Hamilton Big Khaki Pilot 46mm Auto this month and really like this piece, it's beautiful, size is perfect, quality etc ...
BUT
I prefer my Lum Tec M25 Automatic Tungsten over it.
Am I crazy to prefer Lum-Tec over Hamilton?
For all the reasons, I am just a huge fan of my M25, from the weight, the styling, the flat sapphire with triple AR coating, the tungsten which IMO is the best thing you could possibly have on a watch aside from a quality movement ...
The only thing that bothers me, well not really but most pf the people here in Canada does not know of Lum-Tec. If I would admit that I prefer a Lum-Tec to an Hammy, I'd get shot.
U guys still love me ?

Which Lum-Tec tungsten is that? Is it auto or manual?

I didn't think Hamilton was a brand most "regular" people recognized either, at least not Hamilton as it currently is today.
Of the two, I prefer the M25, hands down (and not just because I own one as well
). Tungsten-carbide is an amazing case material and the M25 is so versatile when it comes to strap options. I'm actually not too big a fan of the blue-ish purple double sided AR because I feel it detracts from the true color of the beautiful gray sun-ray dial, but I plan on removing the top layer AR by myself sometime in the future anyway.
To be completely honest, the Hamilton Khaki Pilot has always looked "confused" to me. It looks like it's going for a Buamuster-B dial, but it's not quite there. A day-date complication and crown guards on a flieger-style watch I've also never really understood. If I were to purchase a Buamuster-B dial flieger, I'd either go for a LACO (if I wanted more WWII authentic) or a Stowa (if I didn't care as much for WWII authenticity) and definitely the manual wind variety of either.Last edited by i1800collect; 01-30-2012 at 10:29 PM.

Both are hot watches but I too like the looks of the Lum-tec a tad better!

Wow I love both those watches. They look really different but I could not make up my mind between the two I think!
