Thread: Suggestion for a 48mm authentic looking pilot watch.

I am looking for something. I know Hamilton makes a 46mm version, which I am working on obtaining. I am going to be testing and reviewing watches for an online watch store, which I plan on trading my services for the Hammy. But I would like something a little less expensive and about 48mm in size, Preferably with a 6497/98 movement. One reason I ask here is because I want to stay away from copies or fakes, and I know you guys have a good handle on that.

Search for Dennis Rudy on the forums. He's a well respected homage builder that has some pilot editions. Not sure about movements or sizes, but it should be less expensive than the Hammy. He posts on WN.

Sorry, I guess I should have said, I'm not looking for an Homage watch. If i wanted to go that route, I could buy all the parts off the bay and put it together. I would really like a 48mm Debaufre pilot with a Unitas mechanical. They don't make them anymore so it would have to be used, and they are kinda hard to find at a decent price. But, I am open to learning about other makers that I am not aware of.

Like I said, pm me. I have homage builders that can get them. And like you said, they are hard to find. You are better with a franken model
