The HD3 Slyde
As you guys can probably see above on the banner, the HD3 Slyde I belive is finally starting to be sold. If you haven't seen this watch before check out this post on ablogtoread:
HD3 Slyde Watch
This watch looks pretty bad ass in my opinion. Though some may feel as though you can do the same with an ipod nano or something along those lines, I look at the tech behind it and the people associated with the brand and thing they have something pretty cool here. They say when new hardware or software is available they will take back the watch and upgrade it, I guess similar to having a watch serviced at the factory or something.

I think I may get one, probably the stainless steel version. Im a fan of the devon 1 tread, but I want something a bit more stealth.
Anyone seen this watch in person before, peoples opinions?self proclaimed watch guru.

I was doing research on these a few weeks back. I'm a big fan of unique pieces, Devon, Rebellion, MB&F, And I think this could fit into that category.
I'd certainly consider one if I had the means.

I just found out though that they only are 24 hour watches right now, no am/pm or regular time. they told me they will be releasing updates, but that kind of blows, for 6k it should tell me the damn time i want lol.

Hey, i honestly thought when it was coming out it would be about 5k or so. Im just very very disappointed in the whole non am/pm module of it. I wont be using it for putting pictures on it, literally just for watch feature and they missed a key essential part in my opinion. Not everyone wants to look at time via 24hours. i thought maybe it was just showing that, I called and asked and said its not released yet, I asked when they would and they said soon. Soon could be 2 years lol, I would be pissed. The thought though of upgrading hardware and doing different time modules is pretty cool to me though.
Also, if you see the alligator strap, its just alligator print, leather with alligator print not real alligator so that was kind of a turn off. That 24/hour thing though, damn lolself proclaimed watch guru.

I would have no issue paying 3k for it, with it being open source.

I'm liking it in black and rose gold. If you are a geek and a collector this might be a nice addition but I would look for plenty more in this genre in the near future. It will be old skool like a Commodore game console in just a few years. Some people will love that. I agree that a calf alligator is chintzy strap.
