Default Anyone have a new 42mm Rolex Explorer II?

Man! Went by my watch guy's place today and he had a new Explorer II. Thing is gorgeous! I had a hard time leaving there without it, but it's Christmas time and I can't be buying gifts for myself.

    Anyone have one yet?

Very expensive for a stainless watch, nearly $9k, or double what you can get a previous Explorer II for, but still a nice piece.

    Regards,
    Michael

They can be found for mid 7's but I believe the retail is over 8K.

We saw one in a jewelry store yesterday. White face, looked great. $7750 was the price.

Yes, it's a new movement and has nice upgrades. I still feel it's just too small. It looks girly on my wrist and I don't have big ones either. The band is small and 2mm wasn't enough to make a big difference on the face. I love this watch but to think it's worth 7750 + tax...not a chance. I've had both black and white on my wrists and I just can't see the sticker price. It's way better IMO than the previous model but does little to keep up with a modern watch size.
