Thread: Jaquet Droz anyone?

Dropped by the Tourbillon store at South Coast Plaza a few weeks ago and tried on the Breguet XXII, Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono, and pieces from the Jaquet Droz collection. Both the Breguet and Omega were amazing pieces, but today my attention was drawn to the Jaquet Droz selection.

Jaquet Droz, or JD, is a brand that I have never seen in other stores. I knew it was a Swatch Group brand, but my attention was always so focused on Breguet and Blancpain, that I never gave the brand a second thought. I was flipping through the catalog and came across my new love, the Jaquet Droz Legend Geneva Pocket Watch. She comes in a Red Gold with an option of the Black or Ivory dial.

I've been searching EVERYWHERE for a vintage pocket watch and I think these just might axe my desire for a vintage pocket watch and go with the modern, yet classic, JD piece. I don't know much more than what I've read online, but maybe others out there will have something to add about the brand.
