Thread: 2011 is coming to an end... time for a SOTC!

My watch obsession started back in 2006 and 2011 has been by far the busiest year so far. This year I bought 10 watches (2 which I ended up selling later in the year) and sold 10 watches. This is also the result from my decision to always sell a watch before I buy a new one. In part to keep the collection at a reasonable size and of course to fund the new toy (I'm on a budget here!).

It is amazing to see how much the collection has changed just from May to now. I definitely sold many watches in an attempt to "upgrade" my collection a bit... this of course resulted in a downsize of my overall collection. Had some free time yesterday and decided it was time to take my 2011 SOTC pics so brought all the babies back home for the shoot.

Here was my SOTC (top 20 pieces) back in May (excluding the G-Shocks, Seiko Orange Monster, and others).

Flipping amazing! Really love your two latest B&R acquisitions and the bronzo is a stunner. Can't really tell in these pics, but has it patina'd any more?

I haven't been wearing it much lately so the patina seems to have paused. Going to Hawaii in a few weeks and debating if I should take it to accelerate the process but then again I kinda like how it looks without the crazy patina lol.

That is the Steinhart Proteus. Limited to 111 pieces and was made in collaboration with the WUS forum. They now sell another model similar to the Proteus called the Apollon on their website which is part of their regular production.

Damn, i knew I liked it for a reason. WUS always gets limited edtions!
