Default Another "what are your thoughts" thread: Hubolt watches?

I have to admit, Hublot has never been on my radar as I have been Panerai crazy for the last couple of years...

It seems to me Hublot has taken the watchworld by storm...

    What's the story with them?
    Mostly ETA based I assume?

They remind me a bit much of the AP ROO line with round bezels...

My family friend in China just picked up a carbon and RG version that looked amazing...

Love to hear it from you all!

    Thanks in advance...

They are now into the in-house game. I would say that in the past few years Hublot has really transformed themselves into a legit watch manufacturer and more and more people are starting to convert. Like Jay-Z says, "new watch alert, Hublot".

I'd love to own a Hublot and AP... some day... lol.

thsiao, with your collection I am sure an AP ROO or Hublot is not a problem!

I guess I am just trying to get more about their history and "vibe" if you know what I mean...more fashion and less about horology?

I picked up a Aero Bang a couple of months ago and cant take it off my wrist.. Absolutely love it..

Hublot is hot right now and only getting hotter.. I also like their involvement in F1... It seems like as a company they are doing everything right and their newer pieces are really amazing..!

They are definitely a real watch manufacturer now (transitioning most of their watches to in-house movements)... not to mention that they were also the pioneers of many exotic/uncommon materials in watches. I only see them getting more and more popular.

I've heard nothing but great things about Hublots, I love the designs, materials... didn't know they've gone to in-house movements but thats good to hear.

If I ever have the funds a Hublot will be on the list for sure.

I've followed Hublot almost since their first watch. When they came out with the Big Bang in 2005 I liked it. But with the new model came a significant price increase to about $5500 from their previous models selling price of $2500. (what i was paying for them).

So its now 7 years later and I'm tired as hell with the Ice Bang, King Bang, Chukka Bang, Moca Bang, on and on to infinity. Same damn fvckn watch repeated over and over just like AP. Thats part of the reason I'm tired of both of those companies. Its the same damn thing constantly repeated. Couple that with Hublots high prices and I have no problem passing them up for the couple dozen better watch companies and models.

Not as popular in the states, but really popular in Asia. Great watch, but if you're concerned about resale value, to my understanding the resale value isn't so great (but I could be wrong).

I've become an increasing fan of Hublot over the past year or so, I like their models a lot and the in house movements place them with some other top tier manufacturers. Also, any company with some F1 involvement will certainly be on my good side.

My boss just picked one up a week or so ago but I have yet to see it. I know it had a price tag around $65k so i would love to know exactly which model he snagged...
