The Lock-ED concept : Setting and winding of automatic watches
The automatic watches Edmond are endowed with an exclusive innovation: the Lock-ED concept. The Lock-Ed concept is a modern system of control and protection of the crown. This one allows to pull or to push the winder without intervening directly on the crown of the watch but by acting on the lever which allows to index the crown at different positions of adjustment.
The Lock-Ed concept facilitates adjustment of these hi-tech watches in contrast to systems settings found on most automatic watches. To improve the setting of automatic watches precision it is possible to stop or restart the second hand exactly compared to a dial graduation.Last edited by Thomas Carey; 09-14-2011 at 02:55 AM.

That looks pretty nice. Probably $600
What's does the buckle look like? Butterfly? Is the back of the case open? If so, probably $700.

Given the specs, I would guess a similar watch from a larger company (I.E. Ball, Maggrette, Etc) would be in the 900-1200 range. Though since I've never heard of this manufacturer I would say 500-750 ish. IMO

Direct they now sell for $1076. When they first came out a year or two ago or so dealers etc were selling them for $1300. Also Maggrette for example is really the same size and both are small. Around the size of say Prometheus. In fact Edmond had product on the market before Maggrette. Which means they have done very lil to market the brand. =)
I started looking at them about 2.5 years ago or so. I personally like the designs especially on their new Edmond Pole Guardian Watch Review
At any rate they did come to me offering a deal on all their diamond models which they are getting out of and on the Cap Horn model in the OP. I have not seen their price on the diamond models. I have on the Cap Horn. I don't know even if with their deal it's worth messing with.

Seems to be priced a bit high. Can we justify the extra Benjamins?

Quality is on par with a Lum-Tec M auto with the same movement based on feed back I have had from people who have spent serious time with both. One of those folks a photographer and the other a prominent blogger. There is more detail to the design on the Edmond in my view. The strap is higher quality than the Lum-Tec rubber strap. I really figure price should be about the same as a Lum-Tec auto which means what the company is selling them direct for now is too high.
