Good deals can be had in pawn shops. I liken them to eBay you trust the seller not the product.
If you walk around and notice obvious fakes or issues, simply walk away. However for a few more bucks (300-500 or so) you can find the 111 on Risti and get the box/papersEast bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.

I have bought a lot of things in our pawn shops here over the years. Mostly Snap-On hand tools. I have gotten some great deals on same ladies jewelry. Everytime I have looked at watches they have only had quartz crapped. But I live in a small town and the area shopping mecca is a college town. So you don't see the good stuff.

Walked into a couple of pawn shops, they had some nice stuff, problem was they were asking more for the watch in their shop then what I could buy it new for. They also come off as jerks who pretend to know about wathes. They remind me of tow yards, you don't like them, but you wouldn't mind owning one.

I bought a tissot Prs 516 at a shop in Vegas. Price was right. That being said if I was in the market for panerai or ap etc I would rather buy from a forum member if I was interested in used

I know a guy who purchased a $60,000 Panerai Pre-Vendome Slytech prototype from a pawn shop for pennies.
