Went watch shopping during lunch today... "King" of G-Shocks
Went watch shopping today during my lunch time and got myself the "King" of G-Shocks... the GX-56.
This is the biggest G-Shock ever and boy is it huge... I'm still not sure if I like it enough to keep it or if I should sell it and get myself another DW6900.
What do you guys think?

I really like that G-shock but they only make it in a couple colors right now. I am holding out for a color I want more or maybe an interesting collaboration. They did one collaboration on the GX-56 but it was purple... :/

I have that G and it took me a bit to warm up to as well. BUT it is my go to tank beat the crap out off G. Keep it man, once you get some wear and tear on her it will look perfect. IMO this is not a G that should look new. Enjoy.

Wear it, beat it and repeat. I like because it's different than the standard G.

Also, do not worry about size. It is called the "King of All G's" for a reason. It is supposed to look large and in charge regardless of wrist size. The beating begin...

It's not too big. My G is a 50mm and I have 5.75" wrists, I think the big G's look good.
You can split a crowd with it if you need to.

Its just shy of 54mm which is pretty damn big but I will say most G's don't wear large although this model is probably their largest.

Hmmm...Interesting observation, I would never think twice of a woman wearing an oversized watch. I'm guessing its because i interpret it as being within the acceptable realm of womens "fashion", much like womens large bangles, bracelets and other oversized pieces of jewelry. But if a guy with a 5.75" wrist tried to pull off 50mm, it would not earn the same acceptance, it would have more the appearance of a "fashion-faux pas".
