Hello, NewB here - Looking at PAM 312 vs. PAM 297, which to choose?
Hi all -
Great forum - just found it in perfect timing as I am looking at the next purchase of my first PAM.
My black face Rolex Sub has been my staple for the last 12 years and I am looking for a new quality time piece. As I am going back and forth between the PAM 312 and the 297, I would appreciate any opinions on which you would choose and why.
TIA

297 is too busy for my taste. Love the 312, though. Welcome aboard.

297 is way too busy for me also. 312 is very clean.

Welcome and don't PM Blair for your free T-shirt as he's having a bad hair day.

Thanks Blair! I love the 312 as other have stated the 297 is very busy dial. You can always changed the strap to a bracelet on the 312, plus I have one for sale so I'm bias......

312 captures the essence of Panerai much better than the 297...IMHO. Panerai watches are based on a very simple design. The 297, to me, doesn't convey that. Again...just my 2 pennies.

312 without a doubt, for me at least. Then again a watch is a very personal thing, imho you should choose without asking anyone.
I like the 312 because is clean, and as said above, it captures the essence of Panerai.S55
