    I purchased a cheap chinese tourb (around $100 on ebay) as a birthday gift for a teenage nephew. Good looking and kept good time; but shoddy in terms of how it was put together. On the 1st humid day, condensation collected under the "crystal"; Tao (I think) was the brand. I told him that nice watches weren't meant to be worn in the heat. LOL

    That' s not a real tourbillon just a watch with 'open heart' movement!
    Haven't seen real chinese tourbillons below 500$.

    I realize that; shoulda put tourb in quotes. My point is that it wasn't the movement (at least, not just the movement) that made it a POS.
