Looking for a Rolex dealer in the Chicagoland area who is willing to work with customers and give a discount. I hear some give discounts vs. others only sell at full retail. thanks,

You do know that Rolex just had a price hike right? Most AD are technically allowed to give discounts on Rolex Brand. You may find some dealers that will bargain to some degree but there are a lot of sponsors on the 4 that can get you the best deals......

^ Yes, I am aware prices have gone up, but that does not mean they cannot still give a discount from MSRP. I also am aware that they can give discounts, but it varies from dealer to dealer. I'm just looking for a recommendation based on people's own experiences.

Historically I've bought a few pieces from Razny's in Highland Park... Great shop to deal with. I'm sure the Addison location is the same.

What's sales tax in Chi? I try to buy my watches out of state to save on that since L.A. sales tax is an assinine 9.75%.

It ranges from about 7-10% depending where you are around here. Sent him a recommendation on another forum for a Wisconsin AD. Buying out of state is the best way to go.

Unless you have an amazing relation with your AD, just go out of state. Most will be willing to give you a good deal, plus you won’t pay tax. Now having that great relationship comes in handy when you want something hard to find like an SS Daytona. I got my SS Daytona and PAM 292 (both tough to come by watches) from my local AD since we are close. Easier to find pieces at greater discounts I go elsewhere, mainly an AMAZING AD on the east coast that I will gladly share with anyone interested.

Just avoid CD Peacock like the plaque.
