i wear french cuffs with large watches all the time, my tailor makes my left sleeves 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch bigger than my right to accommodate the large watches i wear.

I've been getting custom shirts for YEARS, and they always make the left cuff bigger. You don't even notice it if you're not wearing a watch.
    Watches:
    Lüm-Tec - M7, M23, M42, 500M-1, M23 custom, V1 Custom, Super B2, M61, V3, 300M-1XL
Seiko - Grand Seiko SBGA011 "Snowflake," Discus Burger, SPS003, Orange Monster, Kinetic (x2), SSC079
    Non-LT: Many
    On order: RGM 801, Lüm-Tec M54,
Pens: too many to count, but I'll mention my faves: McLaren MRB-850, Camelot, Divine Proportion, Visconti Homo Sapiens (cool pen, dumb name)

I think rads with a tapered croc 27/22, 26/22 or /20 with deployment look the dressiest with suits. I like ABP, OEM and Altamarea crocs

I like the smooth and rounded look look of 1950 and 1950 chronos with suits
