    Lightbulb Lum-Tec 500 M the plot thickens!

I have some interesting news. Despite the fact this watch was supposed to be just rated for 500 meters. They wanted to test the watch to see what it would really hold up to.

Well they still don't know.... because the tester they have only goes up to 1000 meters and they say the watch is not even breaking a sweat. This really got Chris and the gang wondering just how much this can take.

So I here there are now plans to send one to Switzerland. To a facility that can test it up to 10,000 meters. Which should be enough to get the job done I would think.

I thought this would be the perfect excuse for a contest. Guess the depth at which the watch will fail. The closest guess wins. So I have suggested this to Chris. =)

No matter Thomas. This is the first piece of content posted that truly has me interested in one of your watched though in my sector of aquaculture it would only get tested to 15 feet or so

Edit: I take that back, the illumination on these has always been appealing as well.

WOW!! Well, the sapphire will be the first thing to go. It is domed, and THICK but not as thick as the 8.3mm case walls The caseback may distort and leak at really high pressure as well. The crown will hold all the pressure no problem. MAybe if it holds 5000 meters we will rename it to the 5000M haha. I'd rather be conservative with the rating.
