That sucks dude. I think you should look into your policy though because my buddy that is an Insurance adjuster said that even if its stolen outside your home it is still covered by your homeowners insurance policy. Also another friend of mine had a Rolex Daytona stolen in Miami and his homeowners insurance policy covered it (he lived in LA) And ironically bought an AP ROO Rubberclad with the money. So if you have an Homeowners ins policy It wouldn't hurt to ask just to see what they say about your situation I don't think it should be a problem if you file a police report at the very least if they don't cover the entire amount their should be some sort of coverage and if not then you should change carriers asap cause most companies will cover that.

Any idea how it got stolen??
I feel really sorry for you man, dunno what I would do if someone'd steal mine..
Btw, I wrote the numbers on a little post it note and I'll be on the lookout on some watch forums I visit. If I find it, I'll let you know ASAP, no reward needed.

That is so fvcked. Judging from past threads, you seem like one of the most deserving people to get at ROO.

how was it stolen? removed from wrist and left somewhere? doesn't sound like it was a snatch and run but sounds maybe like was partially the owners fault for leaving somewhere unattended?
u can call audemars and they can put it on file, thats your best bet of getting it back in the long run.. if its ever sent in for service/etc it comes up as stolen and gets sent to you.. ;-)

so his place was broken into?
not to pry, but if i had sometime stolen from me i would sit down and try and figure out the who and why..
someone had to know about the watch, and where it was.. who would have had access and so forth.. if a hotel i would confront the manager to question the staff... might be easier than you think... most if not all thefts come from someone the victim knows,.. someone they talked to them item about in the past.etc.
if it was hotel, they might not know what they have and would return if questioned.. locally a gentleman stole an 80k tourbillon from a watch store only to trade it for 20$ in crack rock around the corner... he had no idea what it was,
