Steel Bracelet for PAM's?
I have been used to wearing a watch on a bracelet rather than a band up until i picked up my PAM. So... I thought it would be a good idea to pickup a steel (or steel/titainium) band for the 111.
I have seen OEM Panerai bands run $2K+ (plus like $500 for the 44mm adapters) and aftermarket bands that look almost identical and claim similar/same quality as OEM but run right around $100!!
So my question is... Does anyone have experience with these aftermarket bracelets? Is it worth paying 10x extra and getting OEM? Hows the quality on the aftermarket ones? Do you get what you pay for? Or just go aftermarket and you would be able to tell the difference?

I have yet to see an aftermarket braclet that hasn't scratched the hell out of the case on a non bracelet model PAM. Many people have even posted that the OEM and micro adapters still put some pretty deep scratches in the case. I would think that they would be pretty tough to notice while wearing etc... but none the less still there.

I just never liked a watch with a bracelet... Weak sauce
Get a beefy looking distressed leather strap from our very own ROB MONTANA and /end thread!

I agree that no bracelet for a Pam. I do think some watches look great in a bracelet such as subs and ROO's.

Similar situation... I have a lot of regular straps, and wanted to pick a bracelet. I picked up a polished/brushed aftermarket a few years back. Later on I found an all brushed aftermarket (thought the brushed would look better). I've only used them on one of my Panerai's and both have scratched the f%ck out of it. Not sure if the OEM bracelets scratch or not, but didn't feel they were worth the 2 kittens.
My advice, stay away from the bracelets. That is, unless you have a tool watch that you don't mind playing around with.
