Default New watch arrived - Chopard content inside

After a five day wait UPS brought this sweet Chopard
I've had my eye on this watch for some time now but something else always came up. About a week and a half ago I got "too good to pass" offer on my Navitimer Fighter's so it was time for it to go - and Chopard to enter!
This is a 2006 limited edition and with a number 358/2006. Funny coincidence that Finland's country code is also 358 I guess it was destined to come to me! Here's a few pics for you to enjoy.

gorgeous dial fills the face nicely. chopard has invested heavily in creating first-rate movements and has a huge number of racing themed watches available. Congrats on excellent acquisition.

The quality of the finishing is really, really excellent! This is quite a heavy piece too and has some really nice wrist presence. If you haven't looked into Chopards lately, I suggest you do. They have some very nice models in the collection. In house movements too, even though this GT XL isn't one of those. But man, I really love the look and feel of this piece

Yeah, I'll check them out in the morning. Problem is though, big watches don't quite fit me.

They have smaller ones too. For example the Mille Miglia chrono GMT is 42 mm and in size equals to Navitimer. This GT XL is 44mm and wears really nice!
