what is your top line budget?? if you really want the BP then i would wait till you can afford it bc now is the best time to buy mint used watches in this market. you would be suprised what you could get stuff for. make offers you never know. sucks really bad for sellers right now but it is an awesome time for buyers in this currrent economy. last march through june was even better

i had a IWC BP and i regret selling it. i loved it and i plan on getting another. if you can make it happen get what you really want. if it would be a long time then the CP is a nice alternative no doubt

I would like to stay in the 3-6 thousand range. It is a wide range but the are about 3 watches I would like to purchase in the next year or so. Because of that I am not sure I want to spend 12000 (big pilot) on one of them. If I did spend that much it will probably be an AP or Lange rather than an IWC.

you can get a BP for alot less then 12k, search around on the forums and ebay, lots of mint used ones out there

Define "a lot" as its always been my favorite IWC.

I have found a few for $9400 new, can't find any used ones though.

IWC Big Pilot can be had for less than $9K anyday of the week....and I meant brand new from AD...

Really? Well that screws up all my plans! Now I have to consider this.

as said above. i have even seen nice used for 7k. new for 8-9k. just depends on finding the right person who needs the money bad enough. i wish i had more watch buying funds right now i would be buying up everything. AP's that were in the 20's you can get for 10 right now
