that top ten list was pretty interesting-must say of all the things there the one that was most visually appealing to me was the Breguet pocket watch. Guess just because it is different?!

As a U Boat owner, I would like to say yes, but I respect horology too much. However, in the style/price range, it is a great watch. It is unfair to compare to Panerai, I own one of those as well. I think because of their similar histories, they get compared. I have to disagree about "the resell value" comment. Everyone is different. I picked my PAM 57 up for 5K in gently used condition. I love wearing it and I especially love the fact I can recoup the cost. I bought the UBoat on a shopping trip whim in Vegas and am wearing it right now; I am not concerned about resale value because that's not why I bought it. Buy the U Boat!

If Rolex=Rolls, then I guess UBoat=Cadillac? Bad example, I know, I wouldn't call Rolex much more than a Caddy.

I'm not a watch connoisseur but I really dig their aesthetic exterior design...a lot. But I guess it hasn't gained much respect in this community of watch connoisseurs.
