I don't think Panerai "Blew up" I just think we have a couple too many Pam Lovers here and they have "inspired" others to pick em up.
I personally am not a PAM Fan...

Also watchuseek. com is a really good site. To be honest, I used to know virtually nothing about watches, but just stick around here and search around other watch forums and a lot brands start popping up, and these guys have a ton of knowledge.

i'm just starting my collection. so far i have the old school tag heuer SEL from 13 years ago. then i got the raymond weil parsifal. and last year i got the breitling navitimer montbrilliant legend. i like the B&R and i like the u-boat. both seem to be in my price range.

I think watches are an extension of your personality, just like cars. It all depends on what you like. For me, PAMs, IWC, AP all fit my personality.

Sounds like a great collection. You might also want to look into IWC, some newer Tags, Omega maybe Hublot.
The AP I'm looking to get is a Rubber clad, you can get those for around 10k, probably the cheapest AP aside from the 15300.
If you're looking to pick up a watch, you should drop Rijowysock a PM, he has hooked me up big time.Last edited by WebDaemon; 04-13-2009 at 05:05 AM.

Rubberclad for $10k w/box+papers is rare and if you actually find one you should go for it considering retail was like $20,200 and now I think has been brought down to the 18k range. Anything 45%+ for an AP is an excellent deal.
