Default Best watch under $1K

What's the most unique watch out there for under $1K? This would be a daily wear piece.

You left it pretty open. Quartz or Automatic? Time, Time and Date, Chrono? Sports watch, dress watch? Swiss, German or Japanese? Size? Bracelet or Strap?

Best or unique? what to you is "best"? quality, value? What is "unique"? design, exclusivity, shape, size color, function?

Give a little more direction and I'm sure you will get some great suggestions.

There was a thread on this a few months back.. Hamilton was a good one. We also recently found Chotovelli which is under $500 and a decent watch too, according to a few watch gurus on here

You are right I left it wide open.

Ok a strap watch preferrably, Time/date, Dress watch, 40-44mm. no preference on country or anything else.

Check this thread, lots of good suggestions.

Sick watches under $1000

I picked up a Hamilton based on MTK's advice in that thread.

And I'm thinking of picking up this one for my bro for xmas.

And I'm also considering a 1948 vintage Hammy for my Dad's 60th which is 2 days before xmas...

Sorry for the minihijack, but if anyone has a line on vintage watches please drop me a PM.

I'll bite as I'm interested too! Right now I have a Seiko 41mm kinetic auto relay watch.

I'd like a Quartz, Time and Date, Dress(y) watch. Probably a 43mm, and a nice strap. I used to be into the metal straps, but now I'm starting to lean to a nice the more "natural" looking straps, i.e. leather, etc. I don't mind where it's from, though I do know seiko is from Japan.

Any/all help is appreciated! Just getting in to the watch game, so I know I have a lot to learn!
