I just want to buy a watch! Isn't there anything out there?
I have been looking high and low for SOMETHING to buy and I can't find anything decent anywhere.
I had a great bead on a Rolex Sub I was going to throw on a Nato strap but the guy hasn't gotten a hold of me in a week now. This piece is 100%, as Riley says, "A get it out of your system" watch. I would have it for a month or 2, realize 40mm is way to small for my sasquach arm and I would love it.
All that is out there now seems to be junk. There are some good pieces, don't get me wrong but I am tired of seeing people post used pieces for $50 less than MSRP. I actually had a guy get pissed at me this morning about offering him what I thought was a fair price on a used Gulf Monaco.
I have a hole burning in my pocket and nothing to spend it on. It seems like if you want to spend more thank 10k or less than $1k you can find anything you want. Where is the $2000-$4000 stuff we used to find?
Anyone have anything interesting they want to dump? Sort of venting, but the mid range watch seems to have disapeared.

Corums, Breitlings, Baum & Merciers, David Yurman (fashion) to name a few.
I've actually really started liking the Corum Admiral's Cup series, but not sure I'd ever get one. Their Bubble series is somewhat clever, but it is more of a fashion statement than a complicated time piece.
Just go to Tourneau, Bailey Banks & Biddle or another retailer that carries numerous brands, try on everything, find something you love and either cop it there or look for one used.
Also, I think there are a couple Reverso Squadras you can get for that 4kish price (might be closer to 5). I've seen a couple, but I can't vouch for them.

You can spend the money on me. I will be available 24 hours a day and on call. You can just call me and say Jason what time is it? I will tell you the time and tell you what I am doing at the exact moment. If you call me from about 9pm - 9am im sure I am doing something extreamly fun and worth while for the call.

I am talking on the used market. I loved the look of the Corum until I saw it in person at the Peacock. Just not my style, too many edges.
I would love to pick up a reverso squadra hometime, but I want the black face which I can't find.
There are some good Breitling pieces out there, I just think most are priced too high. I have seen used Super Avengers priced for more than I bought NIB from an AD.

I like your Chopard Ray, is it the black face or the white?

There is a member here selling a Navitimer (43mm I believe) for a great deal. I've really been considering picking it up.

I sent him a PM, not too keen on the 43mm though. I like to stay 44mm and up.

I'm a big guy who prefers big watches and has big arms/wrists. 43mm on the navi isn't going to wear small if you put it back on the bracelet.
