Always follow your heart on personal purchases. If not, you'll regret it. And the grey market is not bad if you do your homework. I've bought and sold several pieces that way and have always broke even or made money. Take a look at what Blair is offering, you may like it.

some people aren't ready yet. some people keep everything they buy. for me, it ridiculous to ever buy anything new from an AD. I can't see myself ever having a watch that's a "keeper" forever. I've had several that I thought would be keepers, but something else comes along and catches my eye. Until I am able to afford to just keep buying, then I continue as I am. Good luck to OP on his next acquisition. I look forward to the pics!!

I think the most versatile watch is the Rolex Sub. but for your choices. I like the PO

So I went and looked at Breitlings for the first time, along with the Explorer 2 again.

I think I've looked at the Explorer 2 about four times and each time I do, I flip-flop on whether I like it or not. Friday night, I didn't really like it. Felt and looked too small? Perhaps it had to do with my outfit. Yesterday, it felt and looked fine.

So going in, I wanted to look at both the Navitimer and Superocean Heritage Chronograph. I tried on a white dial Navitimer World and thought it was a little too big at 46mm. I then tried on a white dial Navitimer 01 on bracelet.

Ideally, I didn't want another black dial, but I think I prefer the black dial Navitimer 01 and would make an exception since the sub-dials and sliding rule aren't black and provide a nice pop. Unfortunately, they didn't have one on bracelet, but I would definitely get the bracelet for it:

Finally, I tried on the Superocean Heritage Chrono. I never thought I would like a mesh bracelet, but this watch was really cool. I showed my wife the stock pictures, and she liked both the SOH Chrono and Navitimers. I'll have to bring her in with me the next time I try them on again and see if my mind flops on any of them.

    Thoughts?

    Now you are talking.
Me, I like the black face on strap most.
The white on bracelet looks really good as well.
    The mesh....meh. Not feeling it.
