Thanks guys!
I, too, am a big fan of mesh bracelets on divers. Of the three nylon straps I have for this watch, I definitely like the orange striped one the most! The black/orange/cream color scheme just fit the watch so perfectly.- Andrew

The lume glows brilliantly when charged up. Perhaps I'm a little spoiled with the longevity of glow from the lume done on Lum-Tecs, but the glow fades noticeably quicker. I'm guessing it's because the lume compound isn't layered on nearly as thick as it is on most Lum-Tecs.
I had no idea about polished metal attracting some fishes, probably because I'm really just a lowly desk diver.
More seriously though, on one hand I think the polished metal buckle fits with the overall look of the mesh bracelet and on the other hand, I'm not the biggest fan of polished stainless steel anything because it's such a scratch magnet.
I'll wait and see the actual rubber strap before passing judgement on it. I'm a big fan of Isofrane straps on dive watches, so I don't mind that these rubber straps are obviously emulating the Isofrane look. I'm just not sure how well the fitted part of the rubber strap is going to look when mounted.
Regarding the buckle, it's strange because I feel the buckle on the mesh strap is pretty nice and I'm kind of wondering why they didn't just use the same one with a brushed finish on the link bracelet. My issue with the buckle is that it feels flimsy and not the most convient to operate. The way it operates is you've got to open up the flap then pull on the buckle to get it to release. The much nicer buckle on the mesh bracelet is button-operated which I much prefer.
The sapphire crystal is flat. It does protrude from the top of the watch along with a polished stainless steel inner bezel, partially for the looks (a vintage diver design element) and partially to accomodate the 5mm thick crystal.- Andrew

Wow thats a great looking watch and a very impressive set of accessories that come with it! I really like the mesh bracelet and the orange strap. Are these still in the "manufacturing" period with the lower price?

Awesome watch and review. I'm not a fan of their other watches, but this one has grabbed me from the start...

lesser-known brands usually dont have a really great lume and I think its quite understandable
I heard that from Tv. barracuda bites
I dont really like the rubber strap design, but its Spanish anyway
I think we could find an aftermarket bracelet
the bold part is what I mean by 'domed'. wonder whether it would be a scratch-prone or not

Thanks for the kind words, guys (and gal
)!
Thanks! The El Buzo was the watch that put CREPAS on my radar. I had been searching for an El Buzo for a while when I came across the Tektite and decided to start going after a Tektite instead.- Andrew
