what is the consensus on swimming with high end watch?
Never done it before but curious about it. My tag I am not worried about but my breitlings worry me a bit. not sure why, they are both rated for much deeper then a swimming pool or ocean (as deep as i would go).

Enjoy your watch. Not as though you're diving in the ocean, right? Breitling manufacture a solid timepiece. I was actually concerned about taking my G-Shock - a limited edition, mind you! - into the Caribbean due to saltwater corrosion, and I had zero problems despite their cheaper construction.

No problems at all Drew. Just be sure to rinse it off thoroughly with fresh water when you are done. Make sure the crown is also screwed down nice and tight before jumping in.

Having rubber band definitely helps, especially if it has been in seawater.

Ya you can do it but it goes along with wearing a shirt in the pool. People either think your nuts or someone pushed you in. I might wear one in the ocean just because i wouldnt trust it sitting on the beach. But then you run the risk of getting your arm bit off by a shark. Good luck ever getting that watch back.

I would avoid swimming with a leather strap, even if it's marked as water resistant.
