Graves ordered a watch from Patek in deep secrecy with just one specification: to plan and construct "the most complicated watch...and, in any-case, certainly more complicated than that of Mr. Packard!"

Anyone know if the Patek family chopped it up? As they do with almost all historic pieces like that.

I think it was 11 million for the pocketwatch, and it is in the Patek museum... If i remember correctly, that was some sort of record, and was more than a few years ago. The Graves vs. Packard watch feud created some of the most amazing watches of all time.

Patek is known for driving up their watch prices at auction, they have don fit a bunch of times. they get 2 or three guys to bid a watch high to create a buzz then they buy them for their museum. great tactic.
