HELP: New PAM 0 or used PAM 24?
I'm thinking about making my first Panerai purchase and am torn between buying a new (or LNIB N serial) PAM 0 or stretching my budget to buy a used (very good condition - no more than 5 years old) PAM 24. The 0 is obviously more of a classic Panerai watch with the manual movement (there are pros and cons to that) that looks good on a variety of different straps and is an obvious "first PAM" purchase. The 24 is more of a modern looking "sport" watch that doesn't necessarily fit all occasions as well as the base, but looks damn sexy nonetheless. It also has an automatic movement, so I wouldn't have to worry about winding it when wearing one of my other watches while away on business, on vacation, etc. Ideally I'll have both in my collection, but can't afford them both at this time. My heart says PAM 24, but my head says PAM 0. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys. I'm leaning toward a new 000 and didn't even have to flip a coin. Should be finalizing with the seller soon, then bring on strap madness!

I wanted to update the thread to note that I received my new PAM 000 O serial today. It is even more impressive than I imagined. The packaging is superb and exudes class. The service I received from Dr. Alan Gross and Bridge Street/Cavallino Jewelers was top notch and I highly recommend them for all of your Panerai needs. Before I even received the watch, I already had 4 straps on order. The OEM strap is nice and all, but I can't wait for my custom pieces to arrive. Thanks to everyone who provided any input. Sorry it didn't work out with your watch Blair, but I'm sure it will find a nice home regardless.
